Launching an Automotive Marketing Blog on Posterous

I've been seeing a lot about Posterous for a long time. Having a blogging platform other than Wordpress is always daunting, as Wordpress and their immaculate plugins makes blogging so easy for those with experience.

What better way to test out Posterous than with something near and dear to my (professional) heart: automotive marketing. This is the first (and hopefully not last) blog post that I will put on here. Not much to say other than "Hi, I'm here!"

More to come later.

Introducing Automotive Social Media on Blogspot

One of the key elements to social media is blogging. While Blogger is often considered a "simple and easy but not-so-robust way" to blog, it's important to have sites like these available and covered before others take advantage of it.

As someone who is deeply embedded in both social media and the automotive industry, I try to stay on top of the latest and greatest in both industries. It is amazing that the two are working so closely together now. Car dealers, manufacturers, and vendors are embracing social media increasingly every day. With two of my greatest passions merging, it allows me to have work both simultaneously.

This blog will be focused on helping the two come together. It should be noted that I work for TK Carsites and will naturally have a bias towards them as the leader in the automotive social media world, but with that said I intend to offer more than just "promotional" materials on this blog. We want to be a resource for everyone, clients or not, who want to embark or improve upon their social media efforts.

You can always contact me, JD Rucker. All of my information is available there. I look forward to working with more of you in the future.
